Dedee Shattuck, Opening Reception

A few shots from the opening at Dedee Shattuck Gallery in Westport on Saturday, September 3. Such a great gathering. Thanks to Dedee Shattuck and her terrific crew, curator Jodi Stevens, fellow artist Yizhak Elyashiv and to all who were there (with a special thanks to Rebecca Adams for documenting the night with many of these photos.)

  1. So glad I got to see the show. Your work is stunning, as always, and so inspiring for me as a fellow painter. Beautiful gallery, beautiful work! So nice to see you! Congratulations on the show!

    1. Ron, we drink from the same stream for sure. Thank you so much for coming, and it was really a treat to see you again. Best to you always!

  2. What a marvelous gathering – a beautiful night! Your paintings and Yizhak’s prints complement each other and set up an interesting dialogue. Congratulations, Deborah!

    1. Diane, they really did have a commonality. I think of both bodies of work as being versions of star charts, a concept you know intimately! Thanks so much for your kind words, that means a lot.

  3. Splendiferous!
. Could not see this exhibit, but artsy Latvians I visited were blown away with (big flat screen enlarged) paintings by DB. I said I “Knew the artist”.

    1. Haha! That’s the best Rick. Thanks so much.

  4. Beautifully staged exhibit, Deb! Looks likes a fabulous party!

  5. Congratulations Deb – I can feel the beauty of the whole “show” from here, thousands of miles away in Australia, and it’s a delight to see your dear self alongside your stunning pieces.

    1. Sweet Louisa, thanks so much for your response from Down Under. xoxo

  6. very interesting indeed, the interplay between your and Yizhak’s work… how beautiful!

    1. Yes, there was a real conversation going on between the work that the curator imagined and made real. I loved the pairing. Thanks so much for your words.
